The dome of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar is a beautiful example of Baroque architecture.
The dome was designed by the architect Ventura Rodríguez and was built between 1750 and 1764. It is made of brick and covered in colorful tiles, which create a stunning effect when viewed from inside the basilica. The dome measures 65 meters in diameter and is supported by eight large pillars, which are decorated with sculptures and reliefs.
