Collection: ENRIQUE FLORES

Enrique Flores sketching in Morocco viewed by a child

The work of Enrique Flores, Badajoz, spans different fields of illustration: children, comics, graphic novels, drawings for magazines, vignettes for the newspaper El País, etc. However, his most personal works are the notebooks: painted in watercolor, the notebooks have allowed Flores to portray the cities and the people of the places he has visited throughout the world in his many travels.

Watercolor is, in the words of Flores, a way of painting that is determined by the conditions that surround it.

For this reason, the artist is obliged to capture the moment, which determines an irregular way of painting, with a quick stroke, stains and an imperfect finish: “It takes me between 20 and 30 minutes to make a watercolor. It is a quick drawing, a live style ”.
